Sites submitted for the KBA must be of a high standard and meet the criteria outlined below; they must also contain music related content. Each site will be judged by KlubKat, and will be awarded points in a number of fixed areas - extra points may also be added based on each reviewers personal feel of the site. Based on the final score the site is then nominated for a particular award level - bronze, silver, gold or platinum.
To qualify for the award for which it is nominated, the site must meet the criteria for that level as shown on the chart.

Only the best will win... Is your site good enough?
|
If the final score is within one or two points of reaching the next level, the awards panel have the option of discussing the site and upgrading it.
The actual point system is kept secret to avoid the possibility of a site being designed to qualify and then never updated again - we expect to see updates as regularly as visitors would expect. We take our awards very seriously and only those sites who take pride in themselves will qualify.

Winners will be sent their award as a .jpg image by E-Mail, and may display it on their site. The award graphic must be linked back to KlubKat, where a list of all previous winners in each level will be displayed. If a winning site has more than one or two other awards, we prefer them to have a specific awards page set aside for this purpose to avoid congestion on the home page - In fact, too many award graphics displayed proudly on the home page may make you look good but is likely to disqualify you from the KBA simply because your loading times are too slow!
