Ever since the band was founded in 1994 the 7 musicians, based in south of France (Catalunya), have given countless concerts both plugged or unplugged, in bars, "ferias" as well as at big venues or festivals, gathering and increasingly enthusiastic and faithful audience.
They played with the Wailers, Toots, U-Roy, New York Ska Jazz Ensemble, the Toasters, Macka B, Rico Rodriguez, Dr Ring Ding, Laurel Aitken...This Ska Jazz Reggae band deserve to be called "Fun Makers", they succeeded in staying faithful to the roots Jamaican sound adding their own inspirations (R’n’B, Jazz, Revival ska, Reggae…). 350 shows since 1997 and always good vibrations on the scene.
This combo has proven its warmth, simplicity, its excellent relationship with its audience and shown a real inclination for improvisation. They made 2 LPs, the first one was a live released in 1998 and distributed on a small scale at concerts. Since then, several songs were released on various compilations. Then comes the " QUI SKA ? version studio " album released in 2000 (Crash disques/PIAS) in France and Belgium.
What we have here is a band which is able to mix old school reggae tunes, 60’s ska grooves and jazz melodies in a fantastic concoction. Waiting for the third album (spring 2002) the band is travelling around France and Europe.So don’t miss a good Skank with " Les 100 grammes de Têtes ".
