Taking their name from the crystal clear waters of the lake in Northern Italy, COMO was formed in September 2000 out of a need to wrench beautiful sounds from guitars and write intelligent, well-crafted songs.
Andy and Liam spent time writing, writing and more writing and using acoustic and shimmering electric guitars they've put together a set of fine songs with thought provoking lyrics and a great pace.
COMO in the form of Liam and Andy were looking for the final touch and the addition of the Savage brothers; Nik on bass and Chris on drums have given COMO the solid rhythm section that was required to hit the live scene.
COMO are up there with the best of Bristol guitar band pop. Their recent debut gigs, at the Comedy Pub, the Palace Hotel and the Duke of Cambridge were standing room only and a blistering set proved that the boys have got what it takes. From the first crashing chords of 'Everything must change' to the swirling FX laden 'Voices', the metal inspired 'Keep the Faith' and back to the beautiful pop ballad 'Usual Day', the audience were teased with variations in style, but always based on fine songs.
