We are Northwest Royale: five guys out of Eugene,
Oregon who love music, Jagermeister, and road trips.
We started out in January of 2000 and have been
steadily making a name for ourselves ever since. Our
sound? Umm,well, if you ask the local Eugene Weekly
they called it "a heavy, almost punk-edged metal
attack" (January 3, 2002). No other band we've met
sounds like us and that's the way we like it. It's one
of the reasons why we've become Eugene's busiest band.
Think we're kidding? Go to the Show Dates page. We've
shared the stage with (and here comes the list) 36
Crazyfists, Candiria, Lennon, Seether, Depswa, Ill
Nino, Switched, Adema, Down, Graves, and Rob Zombie.
all in 2002. Between August and September, we
completed a West Coast tour to support our 10-song
debut CD, Respect What Could Be a Problem. Among many
other accomplishments, Northwest Roayle is also
sponsored by Jagermeister, Boardsports (a local Skate,
Surf, Board shop), and McKenzie Personnel Systems (a
nonprofit agency that aids people with developmental
disabilities).
Northwest Royale is:
Colton D. Williams (Lead Vocal/Guitar) has been
amazing audiences throughout the Pacific Northwest for
over 10 years with his versatile vocal range as well
as his guitar mastery. From lyrics that conjure up
every feeling on the spectrum to playing a
right-handed guitar upside down and backwards-yep,
that's Colt.
Chris Phillips (Drums/Road Rage) lays the nice tight
grooves for the rest of us to drink a shot to.
Quick-surrender your soul and your Walkman to Him!!
(huh? I know!)
Pete Collins (Rhythm Guitar/Beer Gut) plays his guitar
like he was in some sort of Swedish death metal band,
inciting the spiked leather-clad minions into a
frenzied chaos!! (Insert diabolical laugh here)
Blake Owens (Percussion/Keyboards/Backup Vocals) has
so much A.D.D. that he couldn't figure out what
instrument to play, so we caught him, and are
currently making him play a wide variety of thingies
for maximum enjoyment. We even find him sitting in
with other bands at a moment's notice, kicking ass
without the crack.
Dustin LaRoche (Bass) is known to friends and band
mates as Buddy (we lie, though). We stole him from
another band, 'cause we liked him and told him we'd
get rich (we lied again). He supplies the thunderous
low end while dancing around like Cheech in Up In
Smoke.
So that's us-five guys, one van, one goal: kicking
your ass!! Enjoy!
