Luke's vocal ability and song writing has matured over the years and so to has his guitar skills. He's been playing and writing for over ten years now and is confident he's reached the standard that he alone can rip up the stage with.

Playing around Brisbane for the last six months, The Weaver is not totally new to the scene. Already this solo artist has played around Australia. Winning a best new act in Perth WA and playing and being voted in by popularity poll to play at the West Australian Music Industry Awards. Since returning to Brisbane The Weaver has reached the semi finals of the Qld Rock Awards and has also won a place at the finals of the Ally uncovered competition.

It's not just the judges who have been impressed with Luke and his dynamic sounds. The audience is known to surge forward with sounds of eager anticipation erupting for the next song. Luke will take you on a journey with vivid guitar playing and songs that will either stroll you through the dark recesses of his mind or whip you into the intensity that one senses stems from some demented anger. The lyrics though are beautifully crafted and one senses that maybe this is truly a poet who once stumbled whole heartedly into music.

STYLE

The style is acoustic in nature with a mix of delicate melodic picking into power chord indie rock. An exciting song writer with a great sense of rhythm and his own style of vocals. A song style that is very much his own The Weaver is an intense taste of what acoustic music can do. Although you will find Luke himself not only a friendly easy going bloke but also an extremely modest fellow for the talent that bestows him. This is why this bio is written by myself and not him.
