8 London radios play Red To Violet

Female fronted guitar pop rock duo Red to Violet not only gets play on over 185 U.S. radios, but also U.K. radio stations start to pick up on the Red to Violet debut single 'Here I Am'... Shane Carey, Head of Music Student Radio London, has confirmed that 8 London Student Radio Stations will add Red to Violet to the playlist...!

A great step forward in the introduction of indie pop rock duo Red to Violet to U.K., also as some of the largest university radios like URY University of York Radio, UKCR - University of Kent (Here I Am reached #15 on the UKCR Chart!), LCR - University of Loughborough & some 25 more U.K. stations spin Red to Violet, including the worldwide broadcasting BFBS army station and local BBC Radio stations. Meanwhile, T-shirt contests on English & Scottish radios are so successful that Red to Violet T-shirts fly away within minutes...

Third GIMP showcase

Friday 8th June will see the third GIMP Showcase (G3) night take place at The Park after it's 2 highly successful predecessors.

This time round GIMP has a special treat in store for all music fans. To headline this fine evening is a treat for all with the One Eyed Cats who specialise in state of the art blues, swing with a dash of rock 'n' roll that's more cheesier than dairy lea.

Supporting the One Eyed Cats we have 4other excellent local bands all with their own unique style and character. Tunguska Butterfly make their second come back this year after a blinding gig at the Crucifest with their experimental Jazz Metal. Rince the cities zany political punkers in disguise will be giving you a good dose of their mad medicine. We see the most talked about newcomers fronted by Chekira's very own bassist Scott, bringing you a pure energy driven head on collision with Blink 182 meets Less Than Jake. BUT first we give you time to chill out and catch your breath back before a night of pure adrenalin fusion with Indie-Punk Rock double trouble, blue.

The night will also consist of some top alternative music to fit in with the bill brought to us by our favourite alternative DJ's.

Doors will open at 8pm - 2am, admission £4 or £3.50 with a special flyer and 16's are welcome although ID will be required.

Debs Warren and Suffolk Songwriters

I know I've been plugging this a lot, but I simply can't help myself!! This is my last chance to say, Yes, it's Debs Warren and Becky Osler at The NEW Wolsey Theatre on this Sunday 20th May at 8pm, tickets available at the box office 01473 295900 or you can buy tickets on the night. We are trying so very hard to drum up support by nagging everybody 'til they are fed up with hearing it!!! This is a great opportunity for us as the Wolsey are putting up with us songbirds for one night only! If you've said you're already coming, forgive me for repeating myself, but this rock and roll lifestyle maybe causing premature senility.

I'd also like to plug my debut album which will be released on 20th May and available in a few shops including Rex Records in Ipswich as from Monday 21st May. It's a bargain at only a tenner!!!

Rodd P.

You know when you're watching that slightly disturbing movie and the music just pulls you in with it's sonic otherworldliness?

You can't help but lean forward and get sucked into the ambience. That is what Rodd P.'s "Deep" is about.

"Deep" is Rodd P.'s first self-produced indie-released debut EP, featuring four original mid-to-up tempo "trance-groove" instrumentals.

His music is awash in keyboards and drum loops and carries a laid-back vibe unfalteringly throughout the disc.

Rodd P.'s music flows, gyrates, and seeps into your subconscious. It plants a seed. When harvest time comes, look out.

Although Rodd P. resides in Wisconsin, this is music of L.A., N.Y. and any other big-time initials you can find.

"Deep," available on line at: http://www.mp3.com/roddp

Coming Soon! Rodd P.'s second self-produced indie-released CD, entitled, "Deeper Than Deep/Time Capsule," featuring fourteen mid-to-up tempo "exotic-trance-groove" instrumentals.

Check out the "Firecat" of a review by Patrick Fineran-Sounding Board at: http://artists.mp3s.com/info/108/rodd_p2.html

Currently Seeking: film/tv sound track placement, brick & mortar dist., major opening acts, and air play.

Red to Violet - Colorful gossip and poetry

colorful poetry:)
MASTERPIECE...?!: One of America's top indie music sites, TheGlobalMuse.com, writes about Red to Violet debut-CD: "Masterpiece... Instead of looking long and hard for true talent and true passion in music, you only have to look here... All of the colors of the musical rainbow can be found on one album, by one band. The music is a pop/rock style that is very reminiscent to The Pretenders and Eurythmics. The first single is the guitar warmed pop/rock song, Here I Am. This catchy track has a definite commercial appeal to it with a strong chart topping potential... Their music has an artistic quality and value that you won't find on many commercial releases... EL's vocals have a great Chrissie Hynde warmth and soul... Red to Violet are not only the hardest working band I know in the indie music scene, they are the future of the popular music scene. They have created the most colorful rock you'll ever hear. Well... at least until their next album." (Michael Allison, for more on Red to Violet in the TGM Indie Feature & other indie bands click on: http:// www.TheGlobalMuse.com /features/index.html)
