COCONUT ROAD

CoconutRoad.com is HERE and it will change everything!

The main focus of CoconutRoad.com Unsigned and Independent Artist site is to get each artist promoted one-at-a-time to as many as a million people a year interested in their type of music so that they can sell enough of their MP3s to be able to earn a living doing what they love to do, write music. If this is YOU or someone you know, PLEASE GO TO THE FOLLOWING WEBSITE! http://www.coconutroad.com/press

I NEED YOUR SUPPORT!
Musicians will never be able to earn a living, until people are willing to BUY their music. My unique tactical approach to this is going to center around garnering national and international press, letting them know that I will be visiting colleges nationwide and am enlisting the support of INDIE musicians at those colleges to facilitate a "Phil Donahue" type of “interactive awareness raising”. It will drive home the point to the NON-musicians in the audience that stealing music hurts their boyfriends, girlfriends, brothers and sisters who are trying to earn a living at it and have to do miserable jobs to support themselves like moving furniture or driving a taxi cab. I want the audience members to see those musicians face-to-face, standing up in the audience and listening to their hardship stories, so that they can directly see the impact of how stealing music affects us all on a personal level! THIS IS BOUND TO BE THE MOST CONTROVERSIAL, TALKED ABOUT ISSUE FOR SOME TIME TO COME! BE A PART OF IT!

Having said this, I am looking to attract as many quality unsigned and independent bands and singer-songwriters as possible to join together and "spread the word" until we achieve our goal of converting stealers into buyers.

WAMPUS MULTIMEDIA SIGNS AMATEUR GOD

Wampus Multimedia has signed Amateur God, an ambient-techno artist from Slovenia.

Imagine if David Lynch directed a postmodern remake of the classic film Frankenstein. Then imagine the sort of soundtrack he might choose -- ominous Transylvanian atmospherics designed to fill viewers with a deep and joyful sense of dread. With the soon-to-be-released Near Life Experience, Amateur God crosses the Atlantic with a collection so firmly rooted in the past that it becomes disturbingly relevant in the uncertain present. Near Life Experience hits store shelves in October.

Wampus is seeking not only to sign and produce new artists, but to market and distribute the existing work of artists seeking broader exposure. Wampus offers two programs to help artists reach their audience -- signature and affiliate.

Dedicated to the support and promotion of independent music, Wampus is home to Arms of Kismet, Kowtow Popof, Wampeters, and a growing roster of indie artists. Wampus recently purchased LocalMusicStore.com, a dominant online retailer in the indie CD market. The acquisition gives Wampus access to a targeted database of indie music enthusiasts -- the fans who care the most about independent music.

THE DAWN PARADE

Hotly tipped cambridge indie band The Dawn Parade, Already firm favourites with John Peel and Steve Lamaqc, release their "Electric fence your gentleness" EP on July 29. The EP is available in all good record stores, on Sugartown / Pinnacle Records, and has already been lauded by no less than Rolling Stone, who have the following to say: "For those who can't wait for the new Springsteen or Suede albums, may we reccommend The Dawn Parade's very excellent "Electric Fence Your Gentleness" EP... Note to UK labels: Sign this band NOW!"

The band are midway through their debut UK tour, with a spectacular gig for the Acorn Childrens Hospice in Worcester with Antihero, and a full stage invasion at London's Barfly cited as highlights, and leading the Guardian to praise the band's "hard-touring, anthemic rock'n'roll".

The Dawn Parade are looking forward to returning to London's Bull and Gate on August 3rd, and to a homecoming gig at The Cambridge Boat Race on Saturday August 10th.

Full listings and gig details can be found on the website, at www.thedawnparade.com

HAVEN IN LOUISVILLE, JULY 25th-28th

Yes, that is right
Haven becomes one of the ambiguous out-of towners thursday as they head for something better in a town known as louisville, kentucky, not that we have certain impunites with the band, it tends to lean the other direction more than often....

Unwanted as we may be in today's music industry standards, we still continue to trek on thanks to all who keep us going.......
the circle will one day revolve back around, till then,
