As the first platform aimed at professionals from the live electronic, urban and dance music industry, LDMC brings together festival organisers and other professionals from the most successful live music genre in Europe, the Live Dance Music Conference serves as a forum to exchange ideas, meet peers and to experience new music. LDMC will take place as a separate entity within the ADE. Registrants for LDMC have full access to all ADE facilities and vice versa.

1400 professional participants, including all the name labels and record company in the international dance industry, attend the ADE, making it the biggest professional gathering outside the US. The Amsterdam Dance Event has a proven track record as the place where the right people are, where deals are actually being negotiated, music is discovered and where panels are equally enjoyable and informative. Focussed on electronic and dance music in its broadest sense, the ADE night program is broadcast live by Hollands Radio 3FM and Danish radio DR. Last years ADE night program was broadcast to over ten European countries including Belgium’s Studio Brussel, BBC, Ireland’s RTE, DR and Radio 3FM.

ANONYMOUS GROOVE MOVE UP A GEAR

Anonymous Groove presents
‘The Rhythm Suite’
Every Thursday 9pm - 2am
The Atrium

Anonymous Groove’s regular live event, ‘The Rhythm Suite’ has now moved up a gear. Now hosted over three floors within the outstanding surroundings of The Atrium in Leeds, the night promises to bring the best up and coming talent to its stages.

Keeping the regular format of two live acts and dj’s upstairs in the loft lounge, we will be drawing on the ever growing number of high quality and energetic acts from Leeds, and the rest of the UK. DJ Dot 9 will be spinning tunes before and after the acts, which will be tied together by The Rhythm Suites very own Compere. The bar floor will be hosted by the Atriums own Dj Erol, who will be churning out the party classics alongside dj Templeton BOOM!

Our most exciting new develop is held in the Basement of the Atrium. We have teamed up with Sub-Dub’s/Tribe Records Simon Scott to bring you ’Rebel Hi-FI Int.’. Hosted twice a month the night will be bringing the best in old school to new school roots’n’culture, dubwize, dance hall and drum’n’bass. Simon Scott will be playing alongside very special guests such as Iration Steppa’s and Blood & Fire Sound System Dj’s. We also have Dj’s from Green, the North’s hardest and darkest dub reggae and drum’n’bass event, who will be with us once a month, ensuring the addition of a dedicated root’s room to The Rhythm Suite.

Our VJ’s and artists will also be utilising the Atriums brand new state of the art visuals set up. Monkee from Unkle and other arts collectives will be providing video and slide projections alongside club decor to create a continually unique atmosphere to the venue.

This year promises to see The Rhythm Suite take off with a bang. Now in its fourth year, the event has proven itself to continually bring the best in raw up and coming talent and enthusiasm into clubs across Yorkshire, and we feel this is our best line-up to date.

VOODOO MUSIC EXPERIENCE 2002 ANNOUNCES 4TH YEAR TALENT!

New Orleans, LA: On November 2nd, 2002, a spellbinding musical journey like no other awaits those who make the trek to New Orleans for VOODOO MUSIC® EXPERIENCE. By the end of the day, the swampy moss of New Orleans City Park will have seen more than 20 artists and twelve hours of music on three stages and thousands of the world's most ardent music lovers! With performances by No Doubt, The Crystal Method, 311, Sum 41, Garbage, Counting Crows, (hed)pe, Macy Gray, Nappy Roots, The X-ecutioners, Galactic, DJ Z-Trip, J5, Cut Chemist, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Jack Johnson, North Mississippi Allstars, and Blind Boys of Alabama, it's no wonder this day-long event has become an internationally renowned music experience!

"It's been great to see the event grow over the last four years," says Steve Rehage of Rehage Entertainment. "Our goal is to develop one of the world's greatest music festivals, with artists from varying genres coming together in New Orleans to worship the music. We now have attendees from all over the United States; ultimately we're creating a new Halloween tradition."

It's no secret that one of this year's biggest draws will be No Doubt. Still soaring off the success of Rock Steady, the foursome's highly anticipated performance at Voodoo is certain to be filled with the incredible energy that first brought the band to the top of the charts in the early 90s. Stefani's stage presence coupled with Dumont, Young and Kanal's ska-revival and new wave sounds creates a concert experience few people ever forget! Expect Garbage to rock out equally as hard with a sound that has combined some of the underground's biggest movements - shoe-gazer, trip-hop and indie - to form a recipe for mainstream success. Not afraid to wear their heart on their sleeve, Counting Crows will bring some soul to the swamp with music fresh from their recent release Hard Candy while the North Mississippi Allstars dish up something a little bit rock and a little bit blues.

With a sound born in the dirty south, Nappy Roots' performance in the land of muddy bayous and shady alleys is a particularly appropriate for the Halloween-season event. Expect a hearty helping from their recent, critically acclaimed release Watamelon, Chicken, and Gritz with a healthy side of the bouncy rhythms that have them rising up the charts! Spicing up the night will be hip-hop DJ collective The X-ecutioners' turntable tricknology and Z-Trip's unique melding of rock and hip-hop's greatest hits. Expect Macy Gray's emotive lyrics and unmistakable sound to fill the bayou air with music equally hot.

Truly making the event a complete experience is Voodoo After Dark - a series of shows created in conjunction with the House of Blues that features prominent national and local talent performing in notorious venues throughout New Orleans. A new element for Voodoo worshippers this year is the Road to Voodoo, a coast to coast three-band tour concluding with a final bash in New Orleans on Friday, November 1, 2002. Visit the official VOODOO MUSIC® EXPERIENCE website at www.voodoomusicfest.com for more information, scheduling, merchandise and more!
