It was getting late. The night had been good and then Crowroad set up on stage. They played loud and they played hard. After the many encores, their new found fans didn't actually give up as crowroad finally had to leave the stage and I sneakily got an interview in with them...

Crowroad's music can only be described as ROCK. Based in Ipswich the band's made up of: Chewy-guitar (on the left); Bod-drums (on the top right) and Ian-guitar (on the bottom right) and usually find themselves gigging around London but they are known for gigging East Anglia too.

To give you some idea of what Crowroad sound like here are just a few of their influences: Alice In Chains, Stevie Wonder, Jimmi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Slayer, Pearl Jam...

Even with 4 years of Crowroad they still have their day jobs. However, they didn't really want to tell me what they actually did. Chewy said he was a Cigarette-vending-machine repairman (mmm?), Chewy also mentioned that Ian was a bible restorer and the most dodgy of jobs was Bods a car horn tuner. Well, the chaps certainly have a sense of humour.

How did Crowroad get together? Well, they've known each other for years and weren't happy being in the bands that they were in. So, they thought they'd have a bit of a jamming session and within the first session they came up with three songs. So they kept at it and here they are.

If you want to find out more about them you can visit their website on www.fly.to/crowroad. A great night, a great bunch. See you soon chaps!!!
