'Psychedelic, new age poetry sent from the gods'. Well, this is how Johnny Why (that is his real surname I saw the ID for proof) Hookworms guitarist describes their music...
Hookworm, the new-age energetic bunch of students were interviewed for this months issue. The band has only been about for a year now and are recording their demo, 'Thanks for nothing' this month at Fat Music Studios. The seven piece set up stands as: James Deary (guitar); Rowan Nichols (vocals); Liam Brown (keyboard); Graham Folkner (drummer); Johnny Why (guitar); Toby Butchart (bass) and Darren Lincoln (percussion and the jump around person... well that's how they described him).
Their music is quite unique, but you can hear that their influences come from the 60's-70's... cool. With influences like Half Man Half Biscuit, The Doors; Pixies and Nirvana you can understand when I say it's very loud and as they say it's Psychedelic.
