Junkboy-Krauthop - Ya don't stop
EP (limited 12" on enraptured records)

A superb and highly recommended e.p. I've been playing it on 45 even though the label says 33 - does that make me a bad person?

There are four fine instrumentals here, all with an infectiously happy sound and a kind of upbeat optimism that carries you along with it. All the tracks feature vintage synthesisers, oodles of funky drumming and even a harpsichord on my favourite track - #4, with it's too ridiculous title!

This is only their second release after their debut "If you lived here, you'd be home by now" on 7" single, and displays a very mature style with nods to indie rock, 80's pop, jazz, d+b and even a hint of groovy easy listening.

Junkboy are one of the new faces to watch in the coming decade, if their current output is anything to judge by. Buy in now, or regret at length.
