Thursday 10th May - Club With No Name

The night introduced itself with Eviscerate who reformed from the ashes of the almighty Kraynium after the departing of guitarist Charlie.

Eviscerate chewed through 30 minutes with deep growling vocal effects from the double act xDanx and xDeanx (who always make their gigs interesting). They were the root of the potion concocted from their deep, dark, metal flavoured riffs, so catchy your head just gently bangs along in time. They pulled off another good show although this time had dispersed of the balaclavas that gave the opening to their crucifest debut a more dramatic effect.

I didn't catch much of Douglas as was busy interviewing Hundred Reasons but what I did hear of them was some real tight energy empowered sounds diluted into a performance of solid riffs, concrete bass and a huge bite of originality spooned into this emo hardcore/metal blend.

100 Reasons finally made it to the stage bursting into life spreading lots of little energy bitten particles through-out. These guys didn't only sound the part, they also looked it. Everything just gelled neatly together! With some vigorous guitar thrashing, deep bass and some vibrant, but soothing vocals the band just sent out the get up and go signal to the already accumulated mosh pit. This was loud noise that beautifully fell into a melodical form of sonic mayhem (if you can picture that) and reminded me at times of "At The Drive In"
