I am on my way to witness Raindance at the Brickmakers, Norwich and it's raining. It seems as if Mother Nature is getting the last laugh... but not for long.

I arrive as the sound checks are being made, and it looks disastrous, but sounds... Mmm... "Interesting". Y'see, for some reason or another inflatable aliens are flying about on the stage. I have absolutely NO idea what it's about but hey, it looks and SOUNDS cool. They appear to squeak! (The aliens, that is).

After a brief chat with Pat, the lead vocalist and keyboard player, I am made aware that the band are not too familar with the "Mosher's", although, a crowd is starting to emerge from the cracks in the walls. This is to be their first gig at the BRICKMAKERS... And they're off to a stunning start! With covers of James: Sit Down and the wonderfully gorgeous To The One I Love by the ever beautiful R.E.M., comes a classic... Yes, none other than T.Rex's 20th Century Boy... Marc Bolan is re-born for one night only... and very good he is too...

I have never seen so much energy go into one gig! Just watching the lead guitarist is tiring! Ah yes, this is more like it! I am completely taken by this band, after their rendition of Australia by the Manic Street Preachers! I... am... in... Heaven! Groovy! I am left helpless but happy! Next comes the glittering rendition of Robbie William's Let Me Entertain You.

Paul, the lovely bass player, decides to get the crowd pumpin' by groovin' with them! Groovy Baby, Groovy! Oh no, time for me to leave the madness and beauty behind and head home. A glittering and most beautiful performance. Well done guys!
