The stage was not small. However, when Rebelation, the EIGHT piece Ska Reggae band occupied it, there was little room to maneuver.

You can't help but like this lot. They have a stage presence that is warm, light hearted and fun and have great contact with the audience. Which really gets you involved.

The band from Kings Lynn consists of Tony - vocals (this guy just brings a simile to your face), Amy - backing vocals, Matt - trumpet, Ed - sax, Andy - Bass, Jay - drums, Martin - guitar and Darcy on keyboard.

Tony has been writing and performing for as long as he can remember, he describes it as being 'natural to him and that the music they play is soul enforced, power packed reggae'. He also mentioned that their influences are old school reggae with punk, soul and rock, which makes some interesting listening. This mix of music really works well and brings out the best in all of the musicians. All eight appear to have completely different musical backgrounds including all of those mentioned above.

The band was born five years ago when Tony and Andy got together for something to do. Before long they came up with a few songs. It turned out that they worked well together, and they continued picking up other musicians as they went on their merry way.

I just knew this band would have some tales to tell and they came up with a couple of gems. The first was the time when the band were heading for a gig in Belgium... They had everything, all the clobber a touring band could possibly need. Except, Matt neglected to recall that passports are kind of handy when entering other countries. So, half way down the road, luckily not many miles traveled, they had to turn back to retrieve the much-needed item. Needless to say they missed their ferryboat, but did manage to get there in the end.

The second incident was explained to me like so... One night they played at this particular venue, no names mentioned, where there was this door with a "jutting out bit", (a jutting out bit of what, I want to know?). However, everyone seemed to be able to avoid confrontation with this said "jutting out bit" but Jay, in an act of poor judgement walked straight into it with considerable force. Oh and how his head hurt, but with true professionalism the show had to go on. He ended up concussed and playing the drums with a hat jammed onto his head and secured with a tie. Presumably to hold some kind of compress in place. It gives the imagination something to feed on
